Gearing up for nature markets

This one-day in person training course is for rural land managers in England.

This practical, jargon-free day is designed for farm and estate managers who want to understand nature markets and what they could mean for their business. No prior knowledge needed. Held at a rural venue local to you, the day combines an interactive morning overview of nature markets with specialist, independent expert input in the afternoon, focused on opportunities specific to your area, such as woodland carbon, Biodiversity Net Gain, nutrient mitigation, or natural flood management.

Introduction to nature markets

Course overview

Nature markets are about the purchase of environmental outcomes. They are an increasingly important dimension of securing the natural environment that everyone needs to thrive.

This course is for professionals who need to know about the trading of nature-based carbon or other benefits provided by a healthy natural environment. It covers why nature markets are needed, the process of buying and selling, and examples of nature markets in action

By the end of the course, participants should have a greater understanding of what nature markets are all about and how to participate in them.
