Putting nature on the map
Introducing a practical resource from the University of Oxford to identify locations for nature recovery and nature-based solutions.
About
Local authorities and other public bodies, as well as non-profit organisations and the private sector are now working hard to achieve nature recovery. At the same time, there is growing interest in the role of land, water and nature in challenges such as increased flood risk and the achievement of net zero. Join this webinar to discover a new and free resource to enable local government and others to create opportunity maps for restoring nature and implementing nature-based solutions. Presented by Alison Smith, Senior Research Associate in the Ecosystems Group at the Environmental Change Institute. The mapping resource has been developed for England but will be interest to professionals throughout the UK.
This research project was funded by The Agile Initiative as part of the Natural Environment Research Council’s Changing the Environment Programme – NERC grant reference number NE/W004976/1.
