Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum

The people of the North of England urgently need places to live and work that are fit for the future; places that are vibrant, healthy and resilient in equal measure.

As communities work together to fulfil this need, they can harness the North’s combined natural, historic and cultural heritage. After all, nature and culture work together to make places in which people thrive in all their diversity. 

This pioneering event will bring together professionals concerned with people, place, culture and nature across the North, to:

• Discover untapped opportunities to connect the North’s natural, historic and cultural heritage. 

• Hear about great examples of where this has happened already. 

• See how funding and finance for different forms of heritage can work together rather than in isolation 

Key sessions will feature:

• Making the case: Advocacy and opportunity in integrating economic, social and cultural impact into pan-Northern place revitalisation.

• Seizing the Opportunity, Grasping the Challenge: Examples of how sources of funding and finance – across the arts, culture, environment and economic development – have delivered places fit for the future.
