Financing the Sustainable Management of Natural Resources
Land managers in Wales are continuing their work to restore natural systems, produce food and deliver the Sustainable Management of Natural Resources. They are navigating myriad new opportunities, risks and uncertainties associated with wider changes and developments, including the Sustainable Farming Scheme which has now moved into the next stage of its co-production.
In March 2023, a series of workshop events took place across Wales, where stakeholders came together to explore how different revenue streams – public, philanthropic, charitable and private – can work together to finance the sustainable management of natural resources.
Organised by the Ecosystems Knowledge Network together with the Pumlumon Project, the sessions were designed for stakeholders from all sectors who are interested in working together to develop effective approaches in Wales, featuring presentations from Welsh Government, Finance Earth, Banc Cambria and the Farmers’ Union.
This page will be updated with resources relevant to stakeholders in Wales, including an overview of the lessons learned from the workshops in March 2023.
