Please note that Ecosystems Knowledge Network is not VAT registered – there is no VAT chargeable on top of the ticket prices. Upon booking, you will receive an order confirmation that specifies that VAT is not chargeable.
Ecosystems Knowledge Network aims to keep the price of tickets as low as it can for everyone, while also meeting the event costs and protecting its year-round charitable work. However, if you would like five tickets or more for a group of staff from the same organisation, get in touch for discounts via conference@ecosystemsknowledge.net.
We also have a limited number of discounted tickets available to local government authorities and small charities or social enterprises. To find out more please contact conference@ecosystemsknowledge.net.
Payment
1. All delegate places must be paid for by 20th January 2025 using a credit or debit card accepted by our payments system (Stripe). You may request to pay by invoice and bank transfer but this will incur a £25 charge due to the administrative time involved. All payments by bank transfer must be paid prior to the event.
2. Please note that failure to pay within these terms may result in cancellation of the booking and payment will be due in full.
3. Ecosystems Knowledge Network reserves the right to amend the closing date of any early bird ticket or other discounted offer.
Cancellations and refunds
4. Delegates will receive a refund of any monies paid for your Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum ticket if the Ecosystems Knowledge Network receives written notification of cancellation on or before 10 December 2024, minus a £10 administrative charge.
5. Delegates will receive a 50% refund of any monies paid for your Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum ticket if the Ecosystems Knowledge Network receives written notification of cancellation between 11 December – 13 January 2025
6. Delegates will not receive any refund or credit of monies paid if cancellation is made on or after 14 January 2024.
7. Delegates will not receive any refund or credit of monies paid if you don’t attend the event for any reason without cancelling in advance, in line with the terms above.
8. In the event of industrial action that would impact the Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum, the Ecosystems Knowledge Network reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the event. The Ecosystems Knowledge Network is not responsible for refunding any monies paid towards your travel, accommodation, and other costs following a cancellation, so we would strongly recommend booking flexible or cancellable options for costs other than your ticket.
9. In the event of a train strike or other industrial action that would impact the Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum being able to the held in person, the Ecosystems Knowledge Network reserves the right to move the Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum online. If the dates of the Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum remained the same, you would not be eligible for a refund outside of our standard cancellation terms and dates above.
Transferring a booking
10. Bookings can be transferred to another person within the same organisation up to the event date. Requests for name changes should be made via conference@ecosystemsknowledge.net
11. Delegate places are not interchangeable during the Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum period i.e. delegate places cannot be shared between individuals.
Your details
12. The Ecosystems Knowledge Network will use your name and email address to send you announcements and updates about the Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum to ensure you have all the information you need to fully benefit from everything included in the programme. These emails will come directly from the Ecosystems Knowledge Network and will always be related to the Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum you have booked a ticket for.
13. The Ecosystems Knowledge Network may send emails on behalf of Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum sponsors, exhibitors and supporters to share essential information with you about Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum benefits and exclusive opportunities provided by our sponsors that are included as part of your Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum ticket. These emails will come direct from the Ecosystems Knowledge Network. We will never share your contact details with our sponsors without permission, although we may be asked to facilitate introductions.
14. We will share a delegate list for the Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum with other attendees prior to the Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum, to support with networking during the event. This will include the delegate’s name, job title, and organisation name but will never include contact details. There will also be the option to add your LinkedIn profile if you would like to. If you would prefer not to appear on the list, please contact conference@ecosystemsknowledge.net.
15. By making a booking with the Ecosystems Knowledge Network you agree for your contact details to be held on our databases in accordance with our privacy policy. We may contact you in the future if we feel there are other Ecosystems Knowledge Network events or news that may be of interest to you, in line with our use of legitimate interest outlined in our privacy policy and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) statement.
What is included
16. Your Northern Nature Culture and Heritage Conference 2024 ticket includes full access to the in-person event on 21 January 2025, including lunch and refreshments.
17. We may record some of the sessions taking place at the Northern Nature, Culture & Place Forum, and may make these recordings available after the event.
18. The Ecosystems Knowledge Network will make every effort to deliver the programme and timetable as described but reserves the right to make any necessary changes in order to maximise the learning and networking opportunity provided by this event.
Security and safety
19. At the Ecosystems Knowledge Network, we want to keep you safe at our events and make sure you have a great experience. If you have purchased a ticket and therefore agreed to these terms and conditions, you are agreeing to be respectful of others, of different opinions, different viewpoints, and experiences.
20. Ecosystems Knowledge Network does not accept responsibility for the safety of personal items brought into the venue.
Recording and photography
21. You are welcome to take photos and short video clips during the event but full recordings of presentations must not be taken nor shared on social media
The event is being organised by the award-winning Ecosystems Knowledge Network (EKN), in partnership with Northern Place and Culture Partnership, as part of the 2025 Convention of the North event series.
