Feature Case study

Seven Lochs Wetland Park, Glasgow

Seven Lochs Wetland Park is destined to become Scotland's largest urban park. Located between Glasgow and Coatbridge, in an area with planned housing and industrial developments, a vision and masterplan has been published, which identifies the important features in the area, and looks at how they can be brought together to create a large scale park and visitor destination.

GIS mapping through the EcoServ GIS project in partnership with Scottish Wildlife Trust and the SEPA has allowed ecosystem services to be mapped and considered across the Seven Lochs area.

The partnership will work with Glasgow and Clyde Valley Green Network partnership and Glasgow Building Preservation Trust to take forwards plans for the park.
