Report investigating public opinion on ecosystem services and valuing nature

Research led by the University of Exeter’s Centre for Rural Policy Research has culminated in a report that investigates public opinions of the valuation of the natural environment.

The research is based on the findings of the UK National Ecosystem Assessment and explores the way the public think about the natural environment, their views on the concept of ecosystem services and what they think policy makers should be focusing on.  The findings are based on events held across Birmingham, Exeter, Glasgow and London.

The 'Naturally Speaking…' public dialogue project was run in partnership with NERC, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and Sciencewise.

The report, a dialogue film and animation are available here.
